Powdermet's Mg/Graphite powder offers an attractive alternative to using expensive, toxic beryllium. Powdermet's novel Chemical Vapor Deposition process is used to produce this material in a more cost effective manner than traditional powder metallurgy (P/M) techniques offer.
Magnesium provides ductility and light weight, while graphite gives this material high thermal conductivity. The powder is high purity, has consistent coating thickness and is air stable.
